The Lady Chargers of Southeastern Baptist College continue to rise in the ranks of the NCCAA DII Division.

Women’s Basketball NCCAA DII Statistics for February 4, 2020.

The Ladies will take on Coastal Alabama Community College South on Friday at 6 p. m. in the last home game of the season.

The Lady Chargers took down Coastal Alabama North, 91-75, in a fast-paced game for their fifth straight win. The ladies came strong with four players putting up double digits.

Tyra Conerly (Columbia, Miss.) scored a total of 30 points for the Chargers. Conerly stated, “I just showed up when I needed to and did what I needed to do to help my team win.”

When asked about tonight’s game Coach Bell replied, “The girls stayed resilient. When they (Coastal Alabama) went on runs we were able to sustain.”

Tonight’s win brings the Ladies record to 8-6 in the NCCAA Division.

The Ladies will play Coastal Alabama Community College – South Campus in the last home game of the season on Friday at 6 p. m.

The Lady Chargers continued their winning streak with a fourth win on Friday over Coastal Alabama Community College North.

With all Chargers putting points on the board, it was a total team effort.

Friday’s win improves the Ladies record in the NCCAA Division to 7-6.

Coastal Alabama North come to campus on Monday for a rematch against the Lady Chargers at 5 p. m.

The Lady Chargers are on the move in the NCCAA Division rankings.

Tyra Conerly (Columbia, Miss) is currently ranked #2 in the Division for scoring averaging 24 points per game. Conerly is also ranked #16 for 3-point field goal percentage and #6 in 3-pointer per game. The point guard pops up at the #19 spot for steals, averaging 2.4 steals per game.

Deseree Moore (Gulfport, Miss) comes in at #8 for scoring with an average of 19.5 points per game. Moore is also ranked #20 in 3-point goals per game and #21 for assists.

Rashida Cheddick (St. George’s, Grenada) averages 4.1 offensive rebounds and 8.1 defensive rebounds per game making her rank at #3 in the Division for rebounds. Cheddick is also ranked #15 in field goal percentage and #15 in blocks with an average of 1.1 blocks per game.

Mikayla Laster (Jackson, Miss) is on the board at #21 for free throw percentage.

The Lady Chargers play at HOME in The PMC on February 3rd at 5 p. m. against Coastal Alabama Community College – North.


The Lady Chargers pulled out a 62-36 win over Judson College tonight at home in the P. M. Cochran Athletic Center. After a slow start, the Ladies rallied putting up 25 points in the first two quarters. Tonight’s win puts the team at 6-6 in the NCCAA Division.

Tyra Conerly (Columbia, Miss) brought in 24 points for Southeastern. She was 2-for-2 at the free-throw line and hit 11 two-point shots from the field. Deseree Moore (Gulfport, Miss) added 13 points while sinking 3 shots from three-point range. Mikayla Laster (Jackson, Miss) put up 9 points for the chargers and was 3-for-4 at the free-throw line.

The Lady Chargers (NCCAA) will be at Coastal Alabama Community College – North Campus (NJCAA) on Friday to take on the Lady Eagles at 4 p. m.


Deseree Moore had a game total of 21 points for the Chargers.

The Lady Chargers showed up determined to win today. The Ladies attacked the first quarter putting up a total of 21 points over Trinity. Coach Bell stated, ” our defense helped create our offensive opportunities. We’ve been stressing this in practice all week and the need to play both sides of the ball. All in all, it was a total team effort.”

Tyra Conerly sank two 3-pointers rounding out her game total to 26 points. Deseree Moore added three 3-pointers in the last two-quarters of the game brining her to a 21 game point total. 6’2 Forward Rashida Cheddick brought in 16 points for the Lady Chargers.

The Lady Chargers improve to 5-6 in the NCCAA Division.

The Lady Chargers will play Judson College at home on Tuesday, January 28th in the PMC at 6:00 pm.


Chargers pull out a win 86-81 over Trinity College of Florida in the last Men’s home game of the season. After a slow start, Coach Hall and the Chargers were determined to control the second half.

“ We played great team defense in the second half and limited them to one shot”, Coach Hall said after the game.

#4 Glenn Grover, Jr. put up 18 points along with #32 Orpheus Rankins. #30 Trajan Fielder sank two three pointers in the first half for a total of 14 points.

The Chargers improve to 4-13 in the NCCAA division.

The Southeastern Chargers finish out the season on the road with their next game at Pensacola Christian College. The Eagles of Pensacola are currently 5-16 in the NCCAA division.

The Eagles will be looking to gain a win after falling to the Chargers on January 9th in The PMC.

Last Men’s Home Game of the Season

The Chargers tip-off their last home game of the season this Saturday at 1:00 pm. Trinity College of Florida will take the court hoping to redeem themselves after their 92 – 77 loss to the Chargers in November.

SBC Makes History with First Collegiate Golf Competition

Columbia, South Carolina – History was made this week as Southeastern Baptist College competed in its first golf tournament. The NCCAA Regional Golf Tournament was held at the Columbia Country Club in Columbia, South Carolina. The two-day tournament consisted of 18 holes each day.

SBC golfer Dylan Morris stated, “being the first golfer at Southeastern is a great honor and being able to compete at a college level at the regional golf tournament was amazing”. These are exciting times at Southeastern Baptist with the addition of new sports like golf to the Athletic Program.

Dylan finished day one with a score of 77 and day two with a score of 81. Finishing with a total of 158 landed Dylan the lowest score of the individual competitors.

Southeastern Baptist Golf heads to Regional Tournament in South Carolina

SBC golf is on the road! Coach Buddy Duke and golfer Dylan Morris will be on the greens in South Carolina this week to compete in Regionals. The NCCAA South Regional Tournament will tee off on Monday, September 30, 2019, at the Columbia Country Club. If qualified after the regionals, Dylan will advance to the Championships in Palm Coast, FL. Good luck Dylan! #floridaorbust
